WHEELER 38 PILAR FISHING BOAT

A great case in boat building illustrating old-school meeting modern technologies. Wheeler Yacht Company took on a project to reverse-engineer Ernest Hemingway's legendary boat Pilar. The project is both a relaunch of the company and a statement of quality and craftsmanship. The boat comes with incredibly strong cold-molded epoxy hull and deck construction. Modern, quiet clean diesel run the boat efficiently at speeds up to 26 knots. Wheeler 38 employes sophisticated, latest technologies used in the development of the world's finest custom yachts. Air conditioning, autopilot, Seakeeper, generator, refrigeration and the latest touch-screen marine electronics reside out of sight but available in an instant. Most of the onboard systems can be controlled with an iPhone or iPad application. The boat is expected to launch in September 2020.
