Toyota has unveiled a head-turning concept ahead of SEMA 2024—the 4Runner TRD Surf Concept, a bold reimagining of the iconic SUV designed with beach life in mind. Starting with a 2025 4Runner TRD Limited, Toyota’s Motorsports Garage transformed the vehicle into the ultimate coastal cruiser.

Key modifications include removing the D-pillars, rear doors, and roof, which were replaced by a custom roll bar and a bespoke removable hardtop for open-air adventures. Fender flares expand the track width by two inches, paired with wider wheels and upgraded suspension to tackle sand and surf easily. A striking custom livery featuring TRD Surf graphics adds to its rugged yet playful aesthetic.

Under the hood, the 4Runner TRD Surf Concept is powered by a 2.4-litre turbocharged inline-four engine, delivering 278 horsepower and 317 lb-ft of torque for seamless performance on and off the shore.
