SAIL 55 - A FUTURISTIC SHIP DESIGNED TO SAIL IN A SUSTAINABLE MANNER

Iddes Yachts has debuted a futuristic new ship that is designed to sail the seas in a sustainable manner. The sleek 180-footer is outfitted with a variety of useful equipment to ensure good seakeeping and efficiency when sailing fully off the grid. First of all, the ketch rig allows for smaller and easier-to-manage sails, resulting in lower structural loads and less burdensome gear. Electric engines are used to complement the sailing power. IHydrosolar technology harvests solar energy while sailing and stores it in massive batteries. The yacht's enormous length also permits for a very efficient stern design, with dock and vehicle storage underdeck to make launching and transporting smaller vessels much easier. Meanwhile, the interior has a total weight of 499 GT and provides the same or more living space as a motor yacht of comparable size. Six spacious VIP cabins are included in the layout, as well as a large main deckhouse with panoramic views of the surroundings.
