Launched in 2019, Portofino Gin was created as a tribute to Klaus Pudel, who lived and worked in Portofino, a picturesque fishing village in Liguria, and who helped save the village from destruction during the Second World War. The gin bottle represents the village clustered around a small harbour with colourfully painted buildings and portrays the Mediterranean character. The gin is produced by an Antique Italian Distillery and each batch of the gin is made using a combination of traditional and innovative methods. Portofino Dry Gin features 21 ingredients carefully selected for their intense aromatic properties. Juniper, lemon, lavender, rosemary, marjoram, sage, iris, roses – and other local delicacies – are handpicked in our botanical sanctuary on the hills of Portofino.
