PLASTIC FISHING BOAT

Amsterdam-based fashion brand Scotch & Soda collaborated with Plastic Whale to create a special fishing boat for World Environment Day. Made from recycled plastic waste collected from canals in Amsterdam, the fishing boat helps to clean up the world's waterways and highlights the plastic pollution problem. The boat called makes the most of PET bottles that are washed and then processed into granules and fibers. It takes up to three months to build the boat using 5,000 PET bottles. The spacious boat is powered by an electric motor and has the capacity to carry up to eight people. Scotch & Soda customers are able to participate by booking their own fishing trip on the brand's boat every other Saturday during the summer months.
