Ocean Cay - MSC Marine Reserve - Bahamas

Owned by MSC Cruises, Ocean Cay is the 95-acre Bahamian paradise lying just 65 miles south of Miami. This private island has been designed as a one-of-a-kind marine reserve to allow guests to connect with nature, immerse themselves in an ecologically-intelligent atmosphere, and learn about the importance of preserving the oceans and coral reefs.

MSC Cruises made significant efforts to create this truly unique island experience. It conducted a full clean-up of the former industrial site; 75K trees, shrubs, and plants have been planted; 400 coral reefs have been relocated to create a biodiverse and sustainable environment. Ocean Cay is an eco–operated island developed in a way to minimize the impact on the environment.

The most anticipated private island features eight different beaches, enchanting sea life, authentic Bahamian cuisine, tropical cocktails, a Bahamian shopping village, and a wide variety of other exciting family activities. Considered as an extension of the ship, getting on and off the island is a breeze.

Ocean Cay - an island with a vision - is not just a holiday destination, it is a Caribbean’s hidden gem connecting people and the natural world with its beauty.
