Lasvit Nautical - Where Bohemian Glass Meets the Open Sea

Lasvit is a Czech glassmaking house with a century of Bohemian craft behind it — and its Nautical division brings that tradition directly to the water. Working closely with shipowners, naval architects, and interior designers, Lasvit creates bespoke handblown glass lighting installations engineered for the specific demands of life at sea: salt air, engine vibration, and the constant motion of the hull. Every chandelier and sculptural installation is computer-modelled, salt-chamber tested, and anchored to marine-grade standards — because at this level, beauty has to hold up in a North Atlantic swell. The portfolio includes the Royal Princess and Majestic Princess cruise ships, the 80-metre superyacht Tatiana (a coral-inspired pink chandelier in polished stainless steel), the 77-metre Motor Yacht GO (a sea anemone piece above a backlit onyx table), and the Seven Seas Splendor, where a Lasvit installation commands the grand atrium. Most recently, in partnership with Dasha Moranova Designs and Oceanco, three new sculptural concepts — Afloat, Water Whirl, and Luminair — were developed for the 80-metre Aurai yacht within Oceanco's Simply Custom programme.
