CRISTINA MITTERMEIER

Cristina Goettsch Mittermeier was born in Mexico City in 1966 and raised in the sunny state of Morelos' Cuernavaca. She is a photographer and marine scientist who has worked as a writer, conservationist, and photographer for the past 25 years. She established the famous International League of Conservation Photographers in 2005 to give a platform for environmental photographers, and, with her partner, Canadian photographer Paul Nicklen, she co-founded Sea Legacy, a non-profit committed to ocean conservation, in 2014. Christina’s site highlights many of her incredible works. As you browse through the pages, you can experience her still lifes, fine art pieces, and even read about her personal journey through her blogs. For those who love to bring the sea to their homes, there is a shop that offers posters of her work.
