VIKING OCTANTIS POLAR CLASS EXPEDITION SHIP

Viking has set its sights on adventures after reinventing river and ocean travel. The Octantis is a 665-foot exploration ship with fin stabilizers and ice-resistant Polar Class hulls that was created specifically for sailing the Antarctic. It has 189 cabins for up to 378 passengers and is designed in the brand's typical Scandinavian style. The suites range in size from 215 to 1,223 square feet and feature ocean views, balconies, and comfortable king-size beds. A spa, a pool beneath a retractable glass dome, a lounge, and a range of food options are also available, as well as an onboard science lab for study, expedition equipment, and the Aula. The panoramic auditorium at the ship's stern provided a place for lectures and entertainment and was inspired by the University of Oslo's ceremonial hall.
