ROSEWOOD LITTLE DIX BAY: THE WORLD’S FIRST UNDERWATER WINE CELLAR

Rosewood Little Dix Bay has unveiled a groundbreaking oenological experience: a submerged wine cellar located 30 feet beneath the turquoise waters of the British Virgin Islands. This architectural and technical marvel allows the resort to age premium vintages in a consistent, high-pressure, light-shielded environment.

It includes the natural cooling properties of the ocean, which provide the perfect steady temperature for aging wine. Its an underwater tasting experience where guests can dive or snorkel to view the cellar, followed by a guided tasting of the "ocean-aged" bottles at the resort’s signature restaurant. This initiative is part of a broader sustainability effort, as the cellar structure doubles as an artificial reef, supporting local coral growth and marine biodiversity.

Combining ultra-luxury hospitality with innovative marine science, Rosewood offers a sensory experience unlike any other in the Caribbean.
