PHILIPPE STARCK WINTER GONDOLA CONCEPT

The concept, dream-driven Winter Gondola for Venice was designed by Philippe Starck. This concept was imagined for the VeniSIA association, which is based in Venice and devoted to the development of technology solutions and business ideas that aim to face environmental challenges like climate change. Some of the imagined technical aspects of this craft include durable and high-tech materials such as seaweed bio-resins or compressed bamboo. Other idea includes a gyroscopic stabilizer that is powered by solar energy, electric assistance with a mini electric turbine, also powered by solar energy, and a hydro-generator. While this is purely a dream or a concept at this point, it certainly calls attention to the many eco-friendly and sustainable ways of creating truly exceptional watercraft. The sketches of this craft will be exhibited at the HUB of Strategy Innovation of Ca’ Foscari.
