Patriot: American Magic’s Latest Foiling Monohull for the 37th America's Cup

The New York Yacht Club’s American Magic team recently introduced their latest AC75 race boat. Patriot, a foiling monohull, set off on its maiden voyage following a christening ceremony at the team's Barcelona base on May 7th. Vice Commodore Clare G. Harrington officially christened the boat, which promises high-performance sailing through its innovative design and cutting-edge technology. Patriot exemplifies top-tier American engineering. The lightweight foils enable quick elevation out of the water, while enhanced electronics, hydraulics, and software deliver excellent control and precision. The optimized hull excels in diverse weather and water conditions. The crew has been streamlined from 11 to 8 members, replacing grinders with cyclors to power the yacht’s systems. Contributions from a talented team of designers, engineers, analysts, and builders have made Patriot a model of speed and agility, raising the bar for high-performance sailing in the 37th America's Cup.
