Patek Philippe Nautilus 50th Anniversary Desk Clock

Gérald Genta sketched the Nautilus in five minutes on a restaurant napkin in 1976. Fifty years later, Patek Philippe marks the anniversary with four limited-edition pieces — and the most unexpected of the four is the one you can't wear. The Ref. 958G-001 is a white gold desk clock in the unmistakable Nautilus silhouette: a 50.65mm case in satin-brushed white gold with a horizontally embossed sunburst blue dial and baguette-diamond hour markers. The hinged caseback folds down to prop it on a desk; a loop at the top converts it into a pocket watch, for those who want to be the most theatrical version of themselves in any room. Inside, the manually wound Calibre 31-505 8J PS IRM CI J — 256 parts, 28 jewels, twin barrels — delivers a minimum eight-day power reserve. Limited to 100 pieces worldwide. The case back is engraved 50th Anniversary Nautilus 1976–2026 Patek Philippe. No chain included, which feels about right.
