The set titled "Mediterranean Sea View 2017," comprises three reworked oil paintings depicting romantic seascapes, to which Bansky, an anonymous England-based street artist and political activist, added present-day imitations. Life jackets and lifebuoys are intended to highlight the European migrant crisis and contemporary social issues. This set was auctioned and sold for almost $3,000,000 dollars at a recent Sotheby's auction.
