Ardnamurchan AD/ Sherry Cask Release: Coastal Depth in Every Pour

The Ardnamurchan AD/Sherry Cask Release is a small-batch single malt crafted from 21 Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry butts, combined with the distillery’s signature coastal peat-smoke spirit.

Un-chill filtered and natural in colour, it presents layered aromas of mint, bonfire smoke, salted peanut ice cream, and Brazil nut, evolving with savoury notes like teriyaki beef jerky and tomato stalk. On the palate, flavours shift from smoky bacon and peanut brittle to red plum, cherry, and chalky mineral tones, underscored by maritime character.

The finish is long and complex, with sea salt, crashing waves, and hints of a bothy fireplace and cigar shop. Each batch is unique, reflecting the distillery’s remote coastal setting and commitment to craft.

This release captures the balance between sherry richness and rugged West Highland character, offering a whisky rooted in place and tradition.
