Ocean Clean Sunglasses

Sunglasses Made With Plastic From Great Pacific Garbage Patch

The Ocean Cleanup - the Dutch non-profit engineering organization developing technologies to clean up the plastic floating in the ocean - teamed up with an industrial designer Yves Béhar to create a limited edition of sunglasses.

Designed with the support of his team at fuseproject, the sunglasses are made from the plastics recovered from last December from the great pacific garbage patch (GPGP) and are meant to be appreciated and kept forever. These sunglasses are considered to be a premium product and were also chosen as the first product to be made for their durability and reminiscence of the ocean.

For supporters willing to help fund the ocean cleanup and its mission, there is an opportunity to make a contribution of EUR/USD 199, all of which will go directly to the non-profit’s operations. The organization was nominated for the for THE DESIGN PRIZE 2019 in the category of social impact.
