THE SEAHORSE TABLE: A DIALOGUE BETWEEN WATER AND HAND

The Seahorse Coffee Table, part of the Water Collection by Katerina Bulgakova, is an exercise in timeless sculptural form. Inspired by the fluidity of the marine element, the piece is a quiet celebration of artisan heritage and organic geometry. Its curved silhouette reflects the gentle movement of the sea, designed to ground an interior with both elegance and a sense of natural origin.

The table is defined by the meticulous art of straw marquetry, using rye straw hand-cultivated in the West of Ukraine. Each strand is cleaned, dyed, and flattened by hand—without the use of machinery—creating a shimmering surface that catches the light like sun on moving water. This preservation of historical savoir-faire ensures that every piece is unique, intended to be cherished by generations. Whether placed in an airy coastal salon or a structured urban space, the Seahorse Table serves as a serene focal point for those who value the depth of craftsmanship and the enduring allure of the ocean.
