Contemporary art and shoe design have intersected with the latest artwork from industrial designer Mr. Bailey. The all-new “The Evolution of the Shell Toe” Adidas shoe has launched, offering a reimagined classic in a new project that’s being called Ammonite Superstar. The new shoe goes where no other has gone, drawing inspiration from the world of mollusks to yield a wearable sculpture. It features a comfortable base with segments extending from the body and wrapping around the foot, as well as circular chambers across the section to duplicate the stability and buoyancy of a cephalopod. Unique not only in its aesthetic appeal, this new shoe also offers a whole new wearing experience. The Ammonite Superstar has been hand-engineered to be out of this world.
